going to japan next month. like to ask will the price be cheaper there? looking for panasonic g7 or OM-d . notice that the body of om d is less than 1 k here, so worth getting it in japan?
How about Nikon? I am going to Japan next week. Thinking of buying the new Nikon D610 and 24-70mm F2.8 lens. Are the price cheaper than Singapore? Is there English language in the camera menu? Any tax rebate? If yes, do you get it on the spot or at the airport?
Also, is there warranty and electricity voltage issue?
Appreciate your advise. Thanks.
As long as Abenomics is effective, many things in Japan will be cheaper.
I just came back from Fukuoka in Dec. The DSLR and lens are cheaper there. For Nikon D610 body, MS Color quoted me $2303. I bought it at S$1946 (with 5% tax rebate, additional 5% discount for using Union Pay credit card). For Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 lens, I was quoted $2677 in Singapore. In Japan, you can get it at $2260. I bought it at Bic Camera. The price is cheaper as compare to Best Denki.
I just found out that VISA is also having similar discount.

why is that?
Only Domestic Model is cheaper. My sister-in-law bought a nikon mirrorless camera cause her 30% more them Singapore. I bought in Shinjuku duty free shop in Japan a Leica X2 @$3500.00 Here in Singapore you can get it for less them $2900.00. Later I found out that only domestic model are cheaper there but the text are in Japanese.
