IR Photography with Dimage A1

Anyone tried doing IR with their A1/A2? Does it work?

Oh answering my own question I did the test (as mentioned in some website), the A1 looks ok with IR. I pointed a remote control n pressed the button. The cam can 'see' the light. Hmm... weekend go shoot n c.

Update : A1 users ... do not get an IR filter ... i tried liao. It can capture IR but there is a spot in the middle which is always like overexposed. You may wanna do some test before deciding though

Why don't you post in dpreview forum? I saw some do IR with 7xx series before, but I think they have to work around.. :dunno:

Thanks for the link. Well it is helpful but doesn't have the solution to a 'hot spot' in the middle of IR pictures taken with A1. Do drop me a line should you come across such a solution. Thanks.
