Hi guys i need a little help here. I heard that to shoot on IR film we need to extend the exposure. I'm using a FM-3A using IR film and an IR 52mm Filter... but i'm not too sure about the exposure time lets just say I'll be doing it outdoors coz apparently on a bright sunny day it should be exposed for about 1 sec which already as it is. pretty long :)

what IR film you are using?

the recommended exposure index should already indicate on the box, if doubt, just Google the "film name" and "ISO recommendation"

The exposure depents on the filter factor of IR filter. For Hoya R72 filter, the filter
factor is 16, need to increase 4 stops for proper exposure. Check the specification
sheet of you IR film, it contains the exposure guide.
