intermittent prompts for login.

Hi,

I am currently using Opera to browse the forums and I encounter frequent intermittent prompts for me to login even though I am already login-ed in another window. This frequently happens when I open multiple tabs, but it also happens during "normal" forum browsing on clubsnap also.

Just wondering is it just me who has the above mentioned problem because it is quite leychey to do a login to access the inbox and yet still be prompted to login to reply or view a PM.

Have you tried any other browser?

At the top of the page where we log in, do you check "remember me"?

Surprisingly it works better with IE. I only have 2 browsers so next time when i surf CS i know which one to use.

Hope this thread also can bring attention to admins that i encountered such problems using Opera. Thanks for the advice.

Hmm... I actually also use Opera back home but I don't encounter the login issues you're having.

hmmm. then I'm not sure where the problems lie. it is because i have been experiencing this problems for quite sometime that's why i decided to voice it out. yup. i'll monitor it on my side as well.

I've been experiencing this for months, both using Mac n IE. Assuming CS is going through a phase of upgrading for better browsing experience, I continued to login despite the need to do so repeatedly.
However the matter got worst recently, I have to login few times, each time successfully been redirect to another login page. Almost every action such as viewing of post, reply or search requires a new login and do note 1 single login is not enough to confrim my identity..even on just 1 window(most of the time on CS). The problem doesn't end after login, every post I made will be gone, insead of been uploaded, I am been asked for login again.
Will the admin/moderator kindly look into this matter so I can proceed to contribute in this forum?

Please remember to tick the "Remember me" checkbox during long in. If you don't, the above symptom will occur. If after ticking it and you're still having problem, log out, clear your cookies, and log in again with the above.

It might be a cache or cookies issue, please clear all of your cookies, cache, history etc, restart browser and try again.

Here is how I get round the problem.Using IE...after login,the page does not indicate my user name...(meaning not logged in).I click refresh button on top of IE.
Now it shows I'm logged in.I have written a reply and click "submit" and I get "not logged in screen.I scroll further down and login again,my post is accepted.
If you return to previous page you may loose what you have already written and frustrating but this is how you get around it.

edit: The exact procedure is when to submit and get a not login notification,do not refresh the page or you will loose what you have written.Instead click go Advanced
and you will be directed to a login page.Login from there and it will return you to a proper reply page and submit again whereupon your post will be accepted and redirected
back to the topic's thread page again.PS the fault now is that instead of normal reply page it gives you the quick reply format.
