Interest in MO for Lenses online ?

Did anybody bought lenses through internet before ?
Example at sigma4less.com:
- Sigma 10-20mm F4/5.6(nikon mount) = US$459.95
- 7yr Mack warranty for the lens = US$35
- Shippment estimated (for 1 lens) = US$51.29
- Total = US$546 or S$840

Buy in Singapore with local warranty should be about S$900.
It's cheaper and longer warranty of 7yrs thru the online purchase, worth it ?
Anybody interested to join in the purchase to save on shipment cost ?

if you read the terms of the mack warranty they only entertain local addresses in USA.

for $60 more, i rather buy locally... at least i get to test the lens before i pay. save the trouble of sending back or send to service center if the goods have some fault

I don't understand why Sigma lenses cost so much more in Singapore. The local distributor must be making a lot of profit as the Sigma 10-20 costs nearly 30% less in Taiwan based on today's rate of exchange.

vPOSTUSA is no longer cheap, they have recently incresed their prices.
