Hi, would prefer something more steady looking and well build. Still looking for one to rent before I have extra money to get my own.

DIY locally, bought the rail and carriage for less than $140.
Got a machine shop to drill and tap 3 holes, 2 on the rail and 1 on the carriage.

Mount a fluid head and you're good to slide......

Can't recall the part no.

I have one that I can sell you.. I've already drilled the hole in the slider, it'll allow for attaching standard tripod ballheads. I even have a screw I can toss in.. And if you use a arca-type ballhead like markins or kirk, or RRS, I have a baseplate that's on the bottom of the slider for easy attaching to the tripod

there are different length and options for igus. You can buy a longer piece and get a workshop to cut it to 2 halves. One long and one shorter version.

Here's the part I used for my Igus Slider

Igus parts bought locally:

Rails
igus Drylin W Slide Double Rail part # WS-16-60-1000
Length : 1000 mm

Carrier
igus Drylin W Carriages fitted part # WW-16-60-10

It's about $110 for both.

$110 barely covers the carriage.
