Important Notice: Equipment Rental Project

Greetings y’all...

It’s been sometime since I’ve posted about the Community Equipment Rental Project. First off, I would like to thank all hirer’s and owner’s (in Singapore over overseas) supporting our rental scheme over the last year and a half. Your response was far greater than anyone in the industry had expected. It was initially also more overwhelming than a little commercial photography agency could handle. Thank You!

Due to a photographic opportunity in the US (California), we will be shifting our agency base. Sadly, we cannot manage the rental project from 800 miles away. Over the last few months, we have had several agencies interested in taking over the project. We were looking for bigger bodies with more ability for financial support to push the rental project to the next level. The foresight to provide sufficient creative / business direction was also very important. It started because of the community and should remain closely focused on the community.

More financial backing would mean greater subsidies for the general consumers. We really hope that the new owners will be able to further reduce the rental fees and provide easier access to the equipment.

Due to all the crappy red-tape, I am unable to disclose the new agencies name, agenda or even direction. All I know is that some time will be required to re-systematize the whole operation. I’m unsure how long they would take. I’m sure when they will re-launch the scheme when the time is right. (Like everyone else, I too do have any info of the new schemes or what the new project will be like). But I wish them all the best in their endeavor.

The Rental Project will be shut down and transferred as of the 1st July 2003.

They informed me that they will contact each and everyone of you personally, to see if you intend to opt in or out of their new scheme (whatever it may be).
