...it is because one of the moderators have moved it to a more appropriate sub-forum.

If you posted a new topic here and found that it dissappeared later, please do a search first using your nick to try to locate the thread. Please do not post the same topic again thinking that your thread has been deleted by mistake.

As moderators part of our job is to move threads around so that they are located in the most appropriate sub-forum.

If you have a new topic of discussion and you are not sure which is the most appropriate sub-forum you are welcomed to post it here. If the moderators find a better place for the thread, it will be moved accordingly.

When threads are moved, moderators have a choice whether to leave a link in the original forum. Leaving a link defeats the purpose of moving the thread in the first place as it clutters the forum topic listings.

As such, most of the time when threads are moved out of the "General" forum it appears that the thread has dissappeared. We will try our best to notify the originator of a moved thread by PM when that happens, but please do not expect that as a norm.

In rare cases a topic may be considered as inappropriate for the entire forum. Reasons could be that the post violates the CS usage guidelines, creates unecessary flame wars, or are considered by the moderators to have the potential of creating unecessary flame wars, etc. In those cases the thread will be moved out of public view and the originator WILL be informed about the move and given an explanation for the move.

Thank you for your attention and understanding.
