I need a 50mm f/1.4 for Basketball

Yeah can see some very obvious noise levels.....Think D300 or D700 is the way to go for indoor shots without flash...
What league is this?? BBAXN?

however, at f1.4, u are sacrificing depth of field for shutter speed. if you want to shoot at f1.4 for your basketball, your depth of field is razor thin - perfect for portraits, but i doubt you want dat for sports. :think:

i thought only at minimum focus distance, the dof is razor sharp

taking photos from a distance, the dof will widen?
