Recently just bought an Edmund Long Pass IR filter and replaced the Hoya R72 filter in my D70s. The filter is very easy to break as you can see the photo shown below. I used a saw to cut one of the corners and it cracked. Unlike the Hoya R72 filter it is not made of glass and it is 1.5mm thick. Hoya R72 is 2mm thick. Anyway I like both the colours produced by Hoya and ELP. Anyone is interested in the EPL filter can message me.

Don't use saw to cut your IR filters. ELP is plastic/resin and will crack easily. Get a carbide cutter from DIY stores. Easier to cut and more accurate.

ELP gives very good false colors for IR, but of course there's still the post processing part in bringing out the colors.

Like those with yellow foliage and blue sky, especially #5 and #13.

Noticed that you use Center Weighted Metering in Aperture Priority Mode, try Matrix Metering in the same mode and see the difference.

thanks teerex for your advise, will try it next shooting.
