Damn, ran out of batteries when I was shooting on the x700. Before the second curtain was about close, the battery died. I replaced the batteries but now, I can't wind the camera nor click the shutter released. Removed the film and realised the shutter curtain is just closed (but not fully).

So where can I get the jammed thing repaired? Or should I take it apart myself to fix?
:dunno:

send it to minolta service center. that is the best place.

Moving thread to the Minolta sub-forum.

Ha Ha, i think i know how to do it.with the film cover close you filp up the reflex mirror, then use your finger to push the curtian towards the right. if you don't wanna do it yourself, sent it to the srevice center i will do it for you.

Depending on the situation, may be able to fix right away. but most probably the shutter needs oiling loh.then we will calibrate the shutter speed.

Eh, let me see 1st ok.

Well, their pricing is rather reasonable as I recently had the entire circuit boad for one of my light meters replaced at a cost of $1--+. Checked it myself after the serving to comfirm the replacement of the circuit board.

Considering that the light meter costs $6--+, getting it to work again at the $1--+ price is reasonable.

Mine was more of a technical case where other shops would not be able to get the original circuit board for my light meter (Minolta had to order one from Japan for mine).

If you need parts replaced, then my suggestion would be to go back to the source. At least you are guaranteed genuine parts that goes into your camera.

The assuarance is there.;)
