anyone ? 999

Remove the neck strap, and connect the hand strap to the right eyelet (viewing from the back) of the camera and the eyelet on the grip...

Simple enough? ;)

thanks man
but how to make it secure ?
i can't figure how to tight the two ends

I don't use the hand strap, so can't help you here. I presume there's an instruction sheet? (Even the remote release cable has one...)

there isn't an instruction sheet...

it's up to the creativity of the user.

I make my own hand strap from unwanted bag's strap. Didnt remove the neck strap cause still usefull to have it on, so can sling or grip the camera depending on situation. Can meet up if you want to take a look.

The instruction is in the batt grip instructions.. :)

It's quite complicated to type it out, i got the grip instructions sheet, there is a portion that teaches us how to secure the E1 hand strap. If you want I can scan and email to u.

No prob, i will go to my gf house to scan and email u, should be around tomorrow afternoon.

Big Thank you !! ;)

You can still attach the neck strap to the camera after you fix up the Hand strap E1.

Cheers,

Sorry OT a bit.
I highly recommend anyone considering the Handstrap E1 to consider the Zing handstrap, which uses Neoprene material.
I've no vested interests in this, just that I've been very happy with the Zing, so thought I'd share with all here.

My cam comes with the E1, but I found it too restrictive and uncomfortable for my liking. With the Zing, the thick neoprene acts as a cushion. Its elastic properties make the Zing fit more snugly around the hand too.

It makes use of the tripod hole, and together with its elasticity, provide more leeway for the hand to reach the controls. It can even fit cameras without vertical grip, though I've heard that it's not as comfortable.

Managed to get it from someone in CS some time back for $30, cheaper than the E1!
Perhaps some kind soul could organise another MO?

Canon Cameras comes with Handstrap E1? Which model?

Cheers,

Think the 1Ds and 1D (not sure abt 1D, but definitely 1Ds) comes with the handstrap.
