How to stop jerks?

Thanks for sharing. Maybe can use insulation tape to "fatten" thinner cables. I tried to DIY using plumbing teflon ribbon but penknife is required to remove. Yikes!

the problem is adding tape might make it too thick. the slotting method also don't look very secure but the usual screw method could also damage the cable. lol.

problematic hdmi cables ...

i was looking at the zacuto hdmi pincher but apparently it only works with zacuto hdmi cables.

Thanks for the videos! Certainly delicious food for thought. Jack-clamping is definitely a stronger alternative to cord-stopping but will require greater finess in customization.

Perhaps these pulley cable clamp could be part of some DIY solution. Small ones could be used as cable clamps and bigger ones could be used for HDMI jacks. The challenge of course is fashioning an attachment to your tripod baseplate/cage/hotshoe...
