How to decide second lense after 18-105 mm VR?

You can go for 70-300 in future but it is not useful for ur coming cny family portraits.

You can go for 17-55 or similiar but it is not cheap and most prob you would use ur 18-105 much lesser after getting 17-55. (OT....I neglected my 18-200 after i purchase my 24-70)

3. 50mm F1.8
4. 10.5mm fisheye

I have been using mostly 17-55mm. My 50mm is mainly for taking shot of my daughter.

True the 50mm i also mainly use to take portrait as the sharpness of the picture is better than my kit lens 18-105.
But i always carry my 50mm around Since it very light and also you never know when u shall need it.
