just collecting some feedback.

considering if it is worth it to sell my time scanning slide and negative as a service.

might be, might not be...

you would have to deal with client's demands, expectations. travel to and fro to collect film and deliver scans...

labs charge under $10 for cut film at 1800 x 1200... with colour correction and CDROM thrown in. for the same price can you deliver similar goods?

let's say you take 3min to do a scan + tweaking... 36x3=108 or slightly under 2 hours.

your time and fee calculations probably is different, but as long as you can justify it, go ahead and try lor.

or you can charge say $8-10 doing a very good job scanning individual frames at hi-res.

KT charges $5 for 1800x1200, $12 for 3600x2400 per roll (36 exposures) for everyone's reference. Unless you can scan much higher, say at 4000dpi, probably I myself may not be attracted personally :)
