some of the prices on ebay nowadays are really crazy...like Buy It Now USD 210..omg. if the prices are of any indication, wouldn't the prices get higher once more a100 users can on board and learn about this wonderful lens? :sweat:

The beercan price will go up and up. SONY has no replacement for this beercan at the moment and once new SONY users find out about this lens there will be more demand than supply. The SONY A100 is aimed at the market where users will be looking for such lens.

It's the 70-200mm/4 L that Minolta never had, believe it's based on a Leica design...

oh dear realised i made a duplicate thread. just got one off ebay..hope the lens is as good condition as it is described online....have high hopes for it..haha

I got a mint 70-210mm f4 for about SGD$150(or less) from a clubsnapper about 2 years ago, haha... Really felt it was a steal. Bought it when minolta lenses were sold at an all time low, when minolta users were giving up or jumping ship, and before they made their first dslr.
