Any one can tell me how much is the EOS 1DS mark2 in Singapore?
Actually I can get from my friend at oversea, but I just want to check the price in Singapore, then I will know is it worth to buy from oversea,if the price from oversea realy very cheap, then I am going to plan to buy from oversea.thanks for all ,if you know the price ,just tell me!

you probably will find singapore prices exorbitant (90% statement is true)
dont even have to check.
just get your cam from overseas

$15,000.

Since u'll be probably buying it overseas, it would be like $12,000 or so.

I remebered my last enquiy about 1 mth ago was about sgd 12k - 13k.

Doing a quick net search for body-only deals:

Australia (camerastore.com.au): AUD$11,139 + shipping
US (BH photo): US$6,899.95

Wow, it seems much, much cheaper to buy the bodies outside Singapore, plus you'll probably get an international warranty too, unlike the stingy local-only warranty you get here.

Although, CP is now offering the body for $13,300 which is much cheaper than last week when I looked and it was around $15k.

Updated price-list here

I quote few month ago in KL RM 27600,which is about S$12.12K,now maybe cheaper

don't think you get international warranty for bodies - only for lenses.

i always laugh when i hear someone go and hunt for the 'cheapest' price for the highest end camera.

imo, if you need the 1DsII ... you need it ... and you'll get it.

Mainly because only a professional would use this camera, but thats just me.

True, but there are many other considerations that come into play, for instance the large 16.7mp sensor. This gives you shots (arguably) that are close to if not the same as a 35mm film shot. For people like me who do a lot of macro shooting, the 1Ds give almost three times the detail and information than I can capture with my T180 lens with my 300D stuck on the end.

As it is, I'm taking an intermediary step and probably grabbing the 5D. 1Ds too rich for me :(
