usually I bring back to the shop to exchange the camera.... but that's usually at most one day later. after my first experience, I check for dead pixels on the spot before purchasing.
Doubt they will change for you... from my knowledge, require 8 dead pixel to get a change.
Frankly, only LCD graded class C will have this kind of problem... for Class A LCD panel, they'll change for you even you have 1 dead pixel. So you can call and ask.
If you just bought it yesterday, maybe it is better to go back to the shop to get it change, normally supplier like CP or AP do have a 7 days open box change, provided you still keep everything intact.
are they changing the camera or changing the lcd? suggest to get it change.... so that when you ever decide to sell it, there won't be any adverse price impact dur to the imperfection.
So it seems they are using a grade A LCD panel... good for you. Anyway, grade A panel usually comes from Japan moreover A1 is a new camera so the spare parts might not have arrive so fast. Anyway your problem solved, so the 14 days is worth waiting.
To view a dead pixel is simple, there are only 5 kinds of dead pixels around. So to view it, just make the screen to full Red, Green, Blue, Black & White... all this can be done by shooting colours cards of the above cards. All dead pixels regardless of colours will appear. Do you know that there are greylish dead pixels which can only be clearly seen using a white background, so you must really test out the above colors to be able to identify all dead pixel.
