wowowee. thanks for your oppinions. after much ado, i guess k10d, here i come!

now i just need to worry bout the lenses, is the dual kit lens worthy for the bucks? or shall i get the body itself and get some other lens(which i don't know which)? or would the single kits lens enough for some fidling and serious experiment? sorry i totally know nuts about the these lenses. therefore, i really appreciate your comments and oppinions.

brudders, cheers.

I hate to say this, but need to say it once. What lens you need depends on your needs. Use the kit lens first and find out what you lack when you take the pictures. Prime lens perform better optically as there are lesser compromises but you need to change lens very often.

So far, my own target setup :

1. One prime lens between 24-28mm range. Preferrably f/1.7 or faster. This gives a wide enough view for general use like a P&S camera.

2. A good short zoom (between 17mm-55mm) to replace the kit len. DNAXE recommended the new pentax 16-50 but I think that's going to cost a bomb. If budget is tighter, a Sigma 18-50 f2/8 will do too (I/m hunting for one!).

3. One longer prime lens (range 70-100mm)

4. One full range zoom (18-250mm) from Sigma or Tamron for when changing lens is too troublesome and you want the whole range available.

5. If there is a need, 1 super zoom (70-500mm)...

time check; 1.40am.

today is my biggest day. wish me luck.

mmm. anything a 'die die must-buy' for a new dslr owner?

For me, UV to protect but will remove when i take pictures.
Maybe it's just me... a sense of security in case the cap snap off the lenses in my bag...

Weird me... lol... I'm quite a rough handler... my bag is always packed and my lenses cap always seems to snap out of the barrel... Thus i buy a cheap UV just to protect front element and make it a habit to remove when i want to take pictures... Weird me right???

Not really, I used to do that a lot. UV filter is a cheap option to protect lens, but they can be a problem with strong lights. But now I'm lazy, so I get those clear protector, slightly more ex. A filter may safe your lens in some accidents.;)

those hoya digital clear filters are said to be good.

I bought a hoya digital pro1 filter for my gf fz7 and a kenko pro1 filter for the Sears 135mm (a S$24 filter on a US$15 lens:bsmilie: ) they look the same to me.:)

hhahaha... the irony! Are the Kenko's cheaper? Will need to get one for a fatty lens I got recently.

MSC sell me Hoya 52mm at $24 (After bargaining so hard). OP sell Kenko 52mm at $24 (no need bargain).:bsmilie:

Kenko and Hoya... which one preferred? Or rather... just a matter of which one is cheaper? :p

Support Hoya = Support Pentax:bsmilie:
From my point they are the same, but some just like Hoya brand better. :)
