How do you clean CPLs?

Hi Guys, as you know CPLs are made up of 2 different glasses... was wondering how do you actually clean the in between of these 2 glasses?? :think:

i don't think u can clean between the 2 pieces of glass. besides most polarizers have a thin layer lubricant(?) between the 2 which can sometimes leak.

that would probably be the lubricant moving about.. think i know what u talking about as it happened to my polarizer before.. i just went to get a new one..

btw, i face this problem with my hoya polarizers but so far the b+w one seems to not have this problem.

hmm really? darn i have a hoya one.
but i use a wet tissue to clean it once. you think the alcohol will do bad things?
i did notice something greasy along the sides. might be that lubricant u talked abt
