HOLY COW! Bullet time with just one camera!

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the physics of this video.
The footage is from a new VR camera that Insta360 is launching Auguust 28
The wings of the birds in flight suggest that is this is almost bullet time.
But shot with only one camera! No idea how much post is required but the idea of just having one camera to do the job of dozens or more is mindblowing.
Notice also that the 'cameraman' in the centre of each clip is holding almost nothing in his raised hand!
Could he be swinging the camera on a string?

Philip Bloom was showing something similar.

I think this is meant for consumers. will it stay or is it a novelty?

It's here! The Insta360 ONE. Game changing camera at a great price point of USD299.
Crazy features include :

6 Axis IBIS
Realcapture: phone app that allows you to use the accelorometer of your phone to crop the FOV of the recorded 4K clip and convert to normal 1080p video.

SmartTrack: Select objects and person in a recoreed 4K clip and simulate a tracking 1080p clip

Invisible Selfie Stick. Uses the stitch line of the 360 video to hide the selfie stick.

Lok reviews the ONE

Haha it looks cool but also looks like a fad.

What has proven not to be a fad is 1080p video with interesting perspectives.

I do like the way he used it on top of his DSLR
