Ah, so a salesperson convinced you to buy the Canon for his higher margins.
Did you even test the cameras before buying? Feel them and then decide on your own?
well..as a matter of fact..yes..sowwie

since you have already bought it, just go out and shoot
don't worry too much about the tools
important thing is to know your tool well
Guys..my decision just changed @ the shop.
Instead of the A-200 I bought the Canon 1000D with an extra lens, tripod, lens filter.
It came with a 8GB card Did i make a right decision?
Guys!!! am back.. a new update-

since u gave ur 1000d to ur uncle y not get another canon body instead of other brand
at least both of u can share the same lens
secondly how much is ur budget for ur cam
hope my opinion helps![]()
I wanna be your next uncle ...... :bsmilie:
Joke aside, go read more, play more then decide which camera system that suits your budget and needs.
And becarefull, :nono: too many gear-heads including the salespeople will tell you how good the latest camera is and why you need it... :bsmilie:
Happy searching.

wow dude, you got to slow down and stop spending although you love contributing to the economy in such tough times.
I say get the canon 450D for entry level. One alternative is to get the body only and get another lens (eg. Tamron or Canon), you could share the lens with your uncle.
Get a feel of the cameras as well, some may like it small and some big.
As what others said, the camera and lens is just a tool, it depends on the photographer to capture the right moments.
Slow down once again and don't be a sales person magnet.
@ w_chiang
sir.. i just forgot.. i'm new to DSLR.. and budget wud be low too
@ michael
Spot on!.. i'll do that, but any preferences?
I dont wanna repeat my history.. buy what the salesman advertises![]()
It's all up to individuals..
I personally use Nikon because of the user interface (UI) but some prefer the UI of Canons... so it's pretty subjective.
What you'd want to do is to get a good feel of the different brands and see which feels more comfortable in your hands.
And why did you give away the Canon? Don't like the controls, colours? or??
He's a professional photographer and my beloved uncle. So gave it as a gift
The happiness in his smile was more than enough for me .. he he
And I bought a NIKON D60 yesterday!!
Hope its a good camera and hope I click good pics!
