hi fella users,

ever since i changed my battery (before the battery was flat... i only shot halfway... then put back the battery continue to shoot until the last frame used up)... i noticed that after shooting 20+ frames... my cam will rewind back (like finishing like that)... is it cos my hexar rf remembered some settings and need to reset? cos it seems that it is no longer doing the rewinding at 37 frame...

ah silly me! i forgotten that i loaded a 24 frame film... lol problem self solve due to own forgetfulness.

Care to share ur pics here?

haha i did post some in the past... been slacking cos bz dating my gf.

will post some photos i took during our Melaka trip after i develop the film tmr night and scan it.

Does it read the film code on the canister? What if a reloadable blank canister is used instead?

Yes, there is a DX reader on the Hexar RF but you can choose to overwrite as well.

Your re-loadable canister, it would be reading the DX that is on the canister, so always best to set your own ASA on the camera. here is a picture:

I did a user review on the hexar RF here:

Hi, sorry to OT a bit. I am venturing into shooting films and where can I get 24 frames/exposures instead of the usual 36 ? I went to Ruby and was told there isn't anymore 24 selling in SG. Reason for wanting to get the 24 is that so far, my success rate is only 33% (1 out of 3 rolls developed - the remaining 2 due to not loaded properly and gone to waste :( ) ..thanks!

sorry but I just don't see your logic. is it a cost issue? hard to find film = higher cost. if lab dev, it's the same cost as 36 exp film. so why?

if ure not going to learn how to load film properly, 24 or 36 exp film will yield the same outcome, regardless.

What camera are you using?

Cost is not the issue here but rather the time taken for me to finish 24 as opposed to 36 will be relatively shorter hence faster knowing the outcome..might be a weird logic to some of you though :p

since cost is not an issue,
you don't have to finish a roll before you can send for processing.

That's what I thought as well. Guess I'll hunt around the shops to get my answer.

there are so little places selling film, nobody will want to carry items that extremely low in demand

lol happened to me before, that's why I do a standard 36 exp roll every time now... it's easy to forget.
