HELP!

I just tried to take a few BULB shots in my room, with one small lamp... apparently it seems ok.

Should I still be worried? O_o

I think you need to understand what BULB mode is for. You were shooting the moon on a bright sunny day in bulb mode???

Why on earth do you even think you should be using bulb mode then?

Read your manual.

i suppose bulb mode for film and bulb mode for digisensor got differences? and no i doubt it will damage ur sensor like a film getting bleached for overexposure...

You won't need to worry about Sensor Damage yet. But there's really no reason to use bulb mode in bright daylight

Hi all, I think it's a user issue -- which is me.

Thanks for all the help and advice.

:embrass:

do a search on google "what is bulb mode" ...................

I just now rushed down to SSC at Wisma and the CSO told me that I might have to send it in... it's only barely 3 weeks old!:cry::cry:

lol, is andretan trying to be sarcastic? he is a senior member btw.....

Relax ninelives... senior member does not indicate level of competency... if you post a lot you will get to that senior member thing very quickly... so a newbie may have lots of questions... racks up the posts really quickly this way...

As for andretan, I think you using BULB mode just threw us all off... cos BULB mode is used only when there is very little light available to capture and you need excessively long exposure times... Your usual A, P, S or M modes can go right down to 30s, which is way more than enough even at night usually... BULB mode is really for very special occasions! And I have never used BULB mode before actually cos there is no need...

Since when does over 200 posts = senior? :dunno:

It isn't Bulb Mode that's gone wrong, looks to me you need to do some good reading up on the subject of Exposures.

It would help greatly if you can provide exposure duration in seconds AND the light source in the room. BULB mode does not say much.

Actually I also don't know where he got that from but I was more referring to the fact that senior member does not necessarily connote knowledge.

ok i think can conclude story liao...

don't use BULB mode unless it's really in pitch dark conditions... right?

I think this thread should be closed... in case more people think that a measly 200 odd posts == senior. :dunno:
