Any dslr expert advise how you usually adjust the white balance? Also explain how white balance works? When should you set it to get a neutral colour in artificial lighting (the room is lit by an orange source, the object you want its natural colour), when and how should you set to get the artificial colour (ie the room is lit by an orange light source, the object you want to take looks orange)?
In setting custom white balance, can I just bring a piece of A4 white paper and point at it to set? Or is it better to buy and use a Kodak 18% gray card? I know there are alternatives out there like the expodisc but I'm too poor and lazy
