I am keen on getting a LowePro BackPack to carry all the camera stuffs that i have as i dun want any of them to be left behind.

Stuffs that are with me.

1) F80
2) Yashica fx-3 with attached 50mm prime lens
3) Sony F505v
4) 50mm f1.8
5) Sigma 15-30
6) Film
7) Flash (soon)
8) Books
9) Filters
10) CLeaning equipment
11) ...
12) ...
will add on.

I am narrowing my choices down to a few backpacks.

1) Nature Trekker
2) Photo Trekker Classic
3) Mini Trekker
4) Stealth AW
5) S&F rover.

I know that some of these bags might be overkill for me but i am thinking that i want a bag that can grow with me. Most likely ill get a few more lenses down the road.

Also i am quite a tall person. I hope to get a back that can rest on my whole back and not just my shoulder blades. :)

Would need some help and maybe expertise or experience from those who have these bags or used to have them. I would certainly be glad if i was able to see how the bags look when fully loaded. Up to date i have seen the mini trekker (from lowerpro website), nature trekker(from posts of szennyboy. i hope you dun mind me qouting.) and the stealth AW(also from lowepro website.)

I have sent a qoute to CP for the prices of these bags too but if there is anybody who has a rough gauge of the prices, your input is most welcome.

If any others has other suggestions please feel free to voice them.

Thanks for reading. :)

I always prefer backpacks except that they don't allow for fast access. I even have a backpack harness for my shoulder (camera) bag as I find carrying a heavy camera bag on one shoulder all the time not very good for the posture. At least a backpack distributes the weight better if you have to carry it for prolonged periods.
I haven't tried any of the LowePro backpacks except for the Omni-Trekker which is not quite the usual backpack design. Most of the models you have in mind look good. Best is to test them out at Cathay Photo.
I currently carry an old Tenba backpack with just my D100 & a medium zoom lens when I 'm not working just in case there's something interesting to shoot.:D It can hold an SLR body with up to 80-200mm f2.8 attached, flash, 2-3 short or zoom lens as well. Check out http://www.tenba.com/
Good luck in your search for the right bag! :D
Check out this new one one too - a waterproof backpack that floats! http://207.188.74.151/pages/series/dryzone/dzone.htm

Fotoguide at Peninsula Plaza used to, not sure if they still do. There doesn't seem to be a local distributor.

some specs here: http://207.188.74.151/pages/series/street/rovlight.htm

not very specific though but it could fit a large pro SLR with 80 - 200mm f/2.8 lens attached, additional lenses and accessories.

WOuld be useful if you need a separate compartment for other stuff.

Thanks for the link. yeah it is very useful if i do need to bring some clothes or some food. I have contacted him as i want to have a look how it basically looks inside the bag. Thanks again mpenza.

;p do note that if you carry one of the trekker bags listed, they won't have proper compartments for your other stuff and you may need to carry an additional bag.....
