Help on JVC's MOD video files, JVC users pls come in

Users of JVC camcorders will know that the recorded files are in JVC propriortery format (MOD files).

For users of JVC's video cameras, besides using the software provided by JVC, any other software that is good for converting the MOD files to files like mpg and avi? Any better software to direct burn the MOD files as DVD movie?

When i use JVC's software to convert the MOD files to MPEG, and i try to play it in Realplayer, can see video but no sound; and if i use WMP to play, can hear sound but cannot see video, very frustrating.

Hi,

I do not convert using any converter. I simply re-name the extension to *.mpg and I can play using WMPlayer with no problems.
