Hi
I have a SB 80dx flash now, i m thinking of purchasing FM3A, jus wonder is it compatible with this 2 system, tried asking nikon tech help, but never gave me any reply :(

Is FM3a a reasonable good camera in terms of reliability, i know sharpness is entriely dependant on the focusing ring on the lens itself right?or pls correct me if i have made any mistake.

Thanks for your help in advance.

The Nikon MF cameras can't be beat for reliability... a FM3A can still take pictures without batteries, so don't worry about it. To focus, just rotate the focussing ring. I don't own a FM3A but there should be a split screen in the camera to aid in focussing... using the split screen, it's very obvious when the focus is achieved, unlike the ordinary ground glass screens of AF cameras.

The FM3A supports TTL flash metering, so the SB-80DX should work fine. (experts correct me if I'm wrong..)
