Help on 7D

Hi to all my videographer friends, i new pretty new to video-ing

Not like all the pros out there, i uses very basic tool

I currently own i few lenes and a Canon 7D

As of this afternoon, my Zoom H1 and my ATR 3350 officially join my team of camera gears.

So exploring i have a big problem and after googling couldnt find a solution, hope you guys can help.


Problem: After plugging in the Zoom H1 onto my 7D using a male to male cable and after some attempt and trials. It seems that the built-in mic recoding couldnt be remove. When i play back a recorded video, i could hear sounds from the Zoom H1 and also from the built in "3 dots" Mic from my 7D.

Is there anyway to remove/cancel the sound recording from the built-in mic and just allow the sound recording with the video purely from Zoom H1?

my understanding is that the 7D has AGC, unlike the 5dmk2.

I check out the link, but still didnt mention on how to take away the built in camera sound... Haiz.....

Sounds like you've got a faulty camera jack.
