help me choose institute

Hi I am sandeep working with Captions Pvt Ltd. , it’s a sub titling company .My future plan is to study media , for which I enquired in Manipal university ,A few days later I received a call from Manipal university about a course in MBA(media) from Whistling Wood’s international which is affiliated to Manipal university , I want to know more about Whistling Wood’s International , can any one suggest me on this .. thank you

Hi,

Whistling woods is a film institute that is promoted by Subash Ghai and Mukta Arts. I note that the course fee is quiet high for the courses offered by the institute. I am not able to comment on the course fee of the MBA prog.. you may have to check it with them.

Subash Ghai and Mukta arts are big guns in the industry. Studying under them may help you go get a good start in the industry.

Can I understand what you are doing and what you have studied till now..

A google on Whistling Woods shows that it is situated in Mumbai. They do have a website with info for those who are interested...

For Singaporeans who do not wish to travel so far may like to consider the TischAsia, located at Kay Siang Rd. Its website says that Oliver Stone is the Artistic Director... But the tuition fees comes up to a whopping USD40K a year!!! Wah sei...




Anyway, I noticed that there has been quite a few mentions of "Whistling Woods". And it seems like someone is trying to promote it in Clubsnap... fishy smell here...

But really like Hobbes00 put it.. never heard before.

BTW, I'm not promoting any media school. I was from NTU mechanical engineering.

Yes as Alvin put it, for Singaporeans it does not make sense to do a media course from India. There are good institutes out here. However for Students from India, there are options if they want to get back.. I am not promoting any schools here, infact I am MBA grad working with a bank.. Just giving out my views
