Help ! I need to build a new PC for video editing using Premiere Pro

Hi All ! I'm new here and new to Videography. My current laptop is taking roughly 30minutes for a 2-3 minute long 1080p video .

What should i focus on when choosing the specs ? And anyone have any shops to recommend ?;p

What is your budget and are you planning on assembling a desktop ?

I would suggest to go for skylake processors quad core processors preferably i7 (Processors starting with a 6 like 6700K)
Have atleast 16GB RAM but would recommend 32GB
A decent graphics card. For 1080p a GTX 1060 should be enough. For 1080p you should go for gfx card which has atleast 2GB VRAM. 1060 has 3GB.

Recommended shop for me would be Bizgram in SimLim Level 5. But shop around for prices to see if you can get a good deal.

If you wanna assemble yourself, I can reccomend Fuwell. Make sure you know what to do when you place your processor and apply the thermal paste, if not you'll destroy the motherboard contacts AND the processor!

Basically you'd want a good graphics card(nvidia cuda would be best) with at least 1gb and lots of RAM(reccomended more than 8gb). The more the merrier. Your speed would be faster. If you're editing out of an external hard drive, it's best to use thunderbolt or at least USB 3.0. Remember to NOT dump out your footage into the hard drive again because if for example your write speed is 100mbs, your editing software would read 50mbs for project and dump out your footage at 50mbs. I personally dump out to desktop or my internal laptop drive.

I am selling away my 17" Fullhd 1920 x1080 laptop which you might find useful. It's powerful but bulky and too big. Since I found a full time job editing at Infinite frameworks, I wouldn't such a big lappy for freelance anymore. It still comes with the manufacturer warranty and the receipt(bought last year).
