I got a M3 recently, its a very enjoyable camera to use.

However, i found its very very diffucult to take out new film cartridges from Kodak/Fuji from

the body. I have no problem like this if i use the Ap plastic film cartridges.

Could anyone share their experience on this?

I tip my M3 and the film catridges just falls out of it. A little more description of the problem would help, but doesn't sound normal. Do you wind in your film all the way, or leave a little leader out of the catridges?

I'm using the M2 which has the same film spool loading technique as the M3 and its quite easy to take out my film, maybe you could post pictures of your base to see if there are any dents which is preventing the film from coming out easily?

i see nothing wrong cosmetically on the base and no observable deforms on the body.

The film is fully loaded back in.

I cannot just tip over the camera and let the cartridge drop out easily.

I need to pull the cartridge out forcefully and something need a plyer to do so.

The metal rims of that seal the new film catridge (not the self load one) is slightly bigger

than the size of film cartridge insert on my M3.
