Hi, my uncle is having this problem with his Panasonic VDR-D150GC as he is quite new to videocam. The questions are:

a) How to enable his recorded DVD disk to be play in DVD player / notebook?
b) Where and any shop to recommend to solve his problem?
c) What is the charges to get someone / shop to solve his problem?
d) Any good software to recommend for editing?
e) Is it true that the recorded disk needed to be convert before his can edit it?
f) What kind cable allows him to do the conversion?

Appreciate.... anyone out there to give advice. Thanks ;)

Regards

DVD camcorder izzit? If using -r or +r disc need to finalise to play in dvd players. To convert to editing friendly format, u need a software to rip or export the video out into formats like mpeg2. Ulead DVD factory is one such software

a) How to enable his recorded DVD disk to be play in DVD player / notebook?

d) Any good software to recommend for editing?
Ulead the best and easy way

e) Is it true that the recorded disk needed to be convert before his can edit it?
Not convert is ripped out from VIDEO_TS folder

f) What kind cable allows him to do the conversion?
Using cable is from machine to machine. VDR-D150GC videocam need not. Using the DVD disc direct ripped from DVD-ROM

You may also check the cam menu and the box came with all cables or CD-ROM soft. It may teach you or using the CD-ROM for edit the video

As chanxj said, you will need to finalise the disc before you can play it in a DVD player. Maybe a notebook with a DVD-R drive can rip it without finalising, but not sure.

Thanks for all the advice....
