Hearing thunk from Nikon 70-200mm f4 lens all of sudden

Hi,

I have used this lens for a while now (mild usage, lens rarely leaves the dry cabinet) and today we hear this thunk every time camera is switched on with the lens mounted on it.

Every time camera is switched on, we hear the sound tuk tuk tuk tuk. Any idea what could be the issue?

It's the sound of gyroscoped lens activation and is normal for lenses with optical stabilizer.
