Just got one of these budget boxes to try. Was thinking could be used at places with older AV equipment (only RCA inputs, no HDMI).
It works as expected converting the liveview from a sony actioncam, and a D7000. But strangely with a GH3/4, I can only show playback, no liveview. Connecting GH3/4 directly to the TV via HDMI works fine.
Wondering if anyone here has successfully used it with a GH3/4. :think:
On some forums, some users can't get it to work at all while others managed to get theirs to work. Thought perhaps the unit I got was faulty at first, but then if it works with the two other cameras I have, then it's likely to do with the unit settings. They also said it might be the cable not providing enough power, but the same cable works with the other two cameras. I've tried all the possible setting permutations described (different sys freq, codecs, etc), but no luck so far...
