Has anyone used a Hasselblad lens on a 35 mm body before?

Saw an adaptor selling online and thought of the idea.

Has anyone used Hasselblad 'H' lens on Nikon or other 35 mm bodies before?

Several folks use them.

Not sure about Nikon F mounts, but on Canon.

Err... unless you already have an arsenal of medium format lenses, it doesn't make sense to fit a medium format lense onto a 35mm camera.

Most medium format lenses feature lower resolution than their equivalent and equally graded 35mm counter-parts, unless you need to extra covering power of such lens for tilt-shift applications.

Cheers!

i tried a hassy 80mm cf lens on my S5pro previously before. I think benphoto sells hassy mount to F mount :D results were stellar

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah. I have a couple of H series lens and thinking of doing this for fun :) Since the results are stella, i shld go and have some fun :)

anyone has any sample pics?

I have taken some shots with my cf FLE 50mm on a Nikon film camera. Waiting for the slides to come out. Hope it will be good.

Has anyone tried on a digital body?

Jace, you're going to need the old Hasselblad lenses for this to work.
The HC lenses do not come with an aperture ring - which makes it a bummer to use on a DSLR body - you can only shoot wide open.
I've seen many use the V system lenses on their nikons and canons - you get very creamy shots with the V lenses.

Ok. Thanks.

Alamak, was hoping to play around with H lenses on digital 35 mm body... haha..

I asked around this before...and did quite a lot of searching, including talking with the manufacturers of V adapters.

I have a 1d3 which I am trying to sell, but no bites, so I was thinking if I can use my H lenses on the Canon body, but no go. Apparently the H lenses cannot be adapted to use with 35mm cameras...or actually, they can, but nobody makes the adapter now, because it needs some reverse engineering to allow the body to talk to the lens - aperture setting is the most critical, leaving the leaf shutter open always and using the body's focal plane shutter.

hey pchong! Thanks for sharing! Appreciate it.

Used to use Hassselbad CF lenses on my Contax system via a adaptor.
Now left only Hasselblad 120mm f/4 Makro-Planar CF T* with adaptor to C/Y and C/Y to EOS. Have not try on my EOS digital. Will try and let you know.

Yes. On film. Good result. But of course. Zeiss lens for Hassel.

Other then testing my Hasselblad lens on the 35mm film camera. I also tried my 25mm zeiss zf f2.8 on the 35mm film camera. Result are sharp at all corners. It is so different from my previous Nikon 24mm f2.8. I thought the quality of my zeiss 25mm was fantastic and I compare the image taken with my hasselblad camera using the CF 50mm FLE. I would say 35mm quality is still too far from medium format quality.

As promised

Taken with 5DMKII ISO 25600 1/200 f/4 on my Hasselblad 120mm f/4 Makro-Planar CF T* with adaptor to C/Y and C/Y to EOS.
Sorry on the grain taken with high ISO. The camera JPeg file just darken a bit.
