I'll probably check it out tomorrow.;p

;)Already out today evening. Collected mine from Cathay and very good in term of high iso and overall quality of the photo. Just from the jpeg, the color and sharpness are Lecia like style. Personal from mine point of view.

Congratulations ! Show some shots if possible - both of the camera and with the camera.

By the way, at that price point, better be Leica like style, or I will be quite disappointed. :)

BTW i don't know how to upload the photo.

Will try weekend if time permit. The dial a bit loose. AF not bad (definitely better than sigma DP series) and of course cannot compare with the DSLR. Body a bit light and find it a little bit plastic but it is really strong.

I ever own and used the panasonic LX 3, sigma DP 1 & 2, oly EP-1, Canon G9/10, Ricoh GR II/ GR III and lecia D-Lux 4 and lastly the Nikon D700. Now only keep the D700, Lecia D-Lux 4 and very happy with the Lecia X1.

For color wise, personally still prefer the Lecia and Ricoh. Directly from the X1 jpeg, truely the photo look slightly sharp as stated in the online review. Anyway will try out more tomorrow as only try some handheld in the late evening and nite time.

Good nite..........

saw 1 at Funan yesterday @ John

How much is it? Thanks.

Hi!

That is great news as I'm also contemplating getting a X1 (have never tried a Leica cam before, so this might be my first).

A few questions I wish to ask someone who has actually used it:

1) How's the AF in actual practice? I've heard that Leica was supposed to have 'tweaked' it after the latest firmware update...

2) Is it true that one cannot save files as DNG alone (but only as DNG + JPEG)?

3) Lastly... the price ;)

Any help would be appreciated!

I check with Alan photo(SimLim),$3k(inc gst),have stock,Cathay photo,$2.9k,forget to ask about gst,not stock....

Was in a rush so did not try the camera, just held it in my hand, felt a bit plastic and light.

hi,

Please share some pics taken with X1. i really interested with this X1, i wanna see some photo samples before i dicided to buy , cause the price is quite expensive for a point and shoot camera.
Thank you

Went to a shop in Hong Kong. It does not have any stock. The guy quoted me HK$20,000.00 (US$2,600) and told me the stock may be available after CNY. I can't believe the price is 30% higher than the list price. :(

It's SGD3k in Singapore.
