Here a series of images taken while taking a holiday at Vietnam... Nice place and beautiful people... but a bit of too noisy and dusty at Hanoi... our main agenda is to scale the Mt Fansipan 3100m plus at Sapa. So, we only stay over at Hanoi for a day... to prepare our items and tickets to Sapa.

I use a medium format camera to do most of the shooting while at the city area...handheld most of the time as I don't really have the luxury of setting up a tripod... Hanoi is a really busy city... about 70 percent are motobikes and a total of 2 millions biker in the city...crossing the road is a nightmere... kinda of scary as people don't stop for you... but we learn that skill of jay walking from the local people...just follow the flow... the weather isn't that good on the first few days...in fact it was raining... as it was overcast and foggy... might be the pollution as I thought to myself.

Beautiful photos. Can i see more of your photos taken in Hanoi/Sapa?

I just came back from a 16 day trip to Vietnam too. Coincidentally, i've also been to Hanoi, Sapa and conquered Fansipan. Too bad i didn't bring along any medium format camera, used a compact digi all the while for mobility :D

Hi Alvin, I also scale the Mt Fansipan too... I left my Mamiya and kits behind the second camp site because it was not very practical to bring a heavy medium format camera up the summit... further more it was very foggy all the time and I might die from exhaustion... unless, I'm as strong and tough as the porters...I just bring my Bessa R and a small tripod to take the summit group picture...

The weather at the summit not too good... very foggy and extremely windy... my Bessa R nearly take a fall while the camera still on the tripod...

Still waiting for my another 10 rolls of slide to develop... should be up in a week time...

Wow! Great pictures. Your lens really has this 'dreamy' look to it, which fits the landscapes well!

Oh it is beautiful you captured my hometown's landscape ! Thanks
