Will you get hand grip for M240
Or invest in extra spare batt?

Or you should say buy 5 spare batteries over a multifunction hand grip comparing $ for $.

So the multifunction handgrip allows you to recharge your battery from AC and download your photos w/o taking off your base plate on top of GPS function not to mention a flash ISO/DIX PC syn port and a full flash SCA port when the hotshot is taken up by EVF2.

Although I have a spare battery but I prefer to charge my camera through a power supply cord when I travel, saves me the trouble of swapping batteries that often.

Just looking at the normal handgrip over the multi function

Although it feels firm and good but overall it make the whole camera bigger and bulky

Of course buy another battery, unless you need the increased grip such as using large zoom lenses. The flash port is also useful as can't use both flash and EVF without it. The rest are just minor things that should've been built into the camera in the first place..

Depends on your shooting volume . The 240 has a much longer batt life than the 9 so I have no issues with batt conking on me. I have just received a gorgeous cognac leather half case from Leica time ( luigi ) and this protective half case comes with a nice built in grip so don't just buy e Leica grip u can get a case n grip for about e same price

I don't see a need for handgrip unless you're shooting with telephoto R.

The multifunctional handgrip has GPS.
