Half-frame rangefinders

Do such cameras exist? I've heard of a limited production run of half-frame Leica M4-P but many people say these are fakes.

The only reason I'm considering half-frame is because I like to test with film and would like to get 72 shots instead of 36 from one roll. Heh...

Any advice appreciated as always bros.

It seems half-frame rangefinders are quite niche and expensive. more collector's item than for practical photography?

Guess I will look for normal full-frame film RF. Any recommendations on what brand and type of film to use? I'll be heading in tropical forests near Mekong river in February. Expecting rain, cloudy skies and lots of moisture.

Pai seh bros but I'm a total newbie when it comes to manual film photography!
