I have a nikon FE with sticky mirror cushion and light seal, i only realize it when my mirror stuck a few times.

Through the archives search i have 2 options: DIY or bring to shop, or can i just remove the cushion foam and hope mirror dont hit anything bad? :bsmilie:

But well, i need you guys help to recommend whether how to DIY, or recommend me a good repair store, and more importantly the cost, cause if i dont know the cost, stick my head in the shop and i sure will get chopped hard, so need you guys experience.

Thank you a lot, hope to hear from SLR expert

you mean that your mirror is stuck down or up? in terms of the changing the seals, you can diy by getting them from ebay; jon goodman aka interslice is a good seller. for shops, most of them like de camera consultant, p&g, camera hospital etc do change the seals

Thanks Azzuri, it doesnt stuck but the glue in the foam kind of slow it down make the slow speed not accurate i guess, and it a horror to see some black rubber stuck on the mirror.
I was directed by pm to our famous clubsnap repair man fatigue, so i think i will let him do the job. Thank you you guy for all your help.
