Guess the price of Minolta SSM AF 28-70mm f/2.8 G D

the older version cost $1770(cathayphoto) so the new minolta 28-70 f2.8 G SSM 'D' will cost at least $1950 while for 70-200 f2.8 G SSM 'D' will cost at least $2500.

Recently i contacted the USA minolta website,got to know that the new minolta lens series(ie 28-70 f2.8 G SSM 'D',70-200 f2.8 g SSM 'D', 300 f2.8 G SSM 'D', X1.4 & X2 APO SSM Teleconverter) will b available in USA this winter.Not too sure about Singapore.Im trying to contact Cathay to see if they r allowed to import the new lenses b4 May 2003.

Cos im now saving money for the new 28-70 ,70-200 & X1.4 APO SSM teleconverter.Im also hoping that they will soon come up with a 400mm f4 G SSM 'D' lens to replace the 400mm f4.5 G.No need DS(distance encoder plus shake minimiser) cos it will cost ten over thousands dollars.I believe u r good means good.

Ya, I heard that it will be out during the fall of 2003. I am waiting for Minolta SSM AF 28-70mm f/2.8 G D.
