GP 2 hr charger offer at carrefour

Hi, for those interested, heard there's an offer at carrefour for a GP 2 hr charger or something that comes with 6 batts for $44.
The exact details are in TODAY newspaper.

yah i saw that offer as well... saleslady there gave me her pitch. the batteries are 1600mAh... quizzed her on some of the functions of the charger but she dunno much about them. anyone got experience with this particular charger?

Well, from the pamphlet that I got from carrefour, it states that it charges 2AA 1600 in 2 hours and 4 AA in about 4.5 hrs.

It's supposed to be individual control charging with 2 safety controls : -dV cut off and timer. It has a trickle charge when the batts are fully charged

sound like the GP 'rapid' charger rather than the more expensive 'smart' one? Hope its still available... any end date to the promotion?

The packaging labelled it as the rapid charger, not sure what's the diff between it and the smart charger. The rapid charger is stated to have -dV,. timer and trickle charge. whatabout the smart charger?

Well, it was still available as of wednesday.

see the diff? but smart charger worth 80+ and rapid some can even get at below 30+ hehe
