May I know if the GP 1-hour smart charger is available in Singapore? Price and location? If I can get the information within the next 2 hours I might be able to get someone who is traveling to US to buy it and bring it over for me. Seems like the price in Singapore is usually better than in US.

Thanks!

$70 with 4 x 1800mAh batteries

although the MO closed, but seems that someone cancel his order last minutes

Ya! ya! I think that's the one. Thanks for the information.

Price not cheap leh. Thomas Distributing price is US$42.94 including shipping. That works out to be about S$77 using 1.8 exchange rate. Somemore no need to get another 110Vac to 12V dc adapter. Seems like not worth the trouble already.

Thanks a lot!

Acturally do you really need a charger that charge that fast? I mean why don't you just buy more rechargeable batteries (cheaper). But I don't know how long the power can remain in the batteries if left out of the charger. Or maybe buy 2 normal charger, then you can charge 8 batteries in a row.

Just my two cents

Agree.

I am also considering an 8-cell overnight charger. There are a few models out there, from Maha, Rayovac and RadioShack. Sometimes too obsessed by getting the best, and forgot to do a reality check.

My CP995 battery pack consist of 6 AA batteries. My set of FRS radio uses 3 AA batteries each. So it would more convenient for me to be able to charge 6 batteries at a time, than to have to do 2 charging cycles. Even if the 4-cell charger is faster, I would opt for the convenience of a single charge than for a faster charge.

Another option is to get a universal charger that can handle Li-ion and multi-cell NiMH packs. The MAHA C2000 seems like a good candidate at US$44.90.

"At room temperature, NiMH batteries, without usage, will self-discharge in around 30 to 60 days, depending on environmental condition. In other words, if you leave the batteries on the shelf for more than 30 - 60 days, you should recharge the batteries before using them. It is normal for batteries to be fully depleted of power after long term storage. "

Me using the MAHA C204F ...
seems pretty good ...
esp since it is able to discharge and recharge ...

but must buy transformer to step down to 110 v ...

1st MO already close before the WC hehe
