Good Scanning Services

Hi all film snapper,

I would like to share with you a good place for processing + scanning of films. There is a Photo lap at LIANG court's supermarket (B-1 MEIDI-YA Supermearket) that provide scanning services which i personally find it good and at a reasonable price.

It only $8 per roll for processing and scan it at 16 base hi-res jpeg (3360x2240).

There is guy name Owen who is very friendly and patient to help on my needs.

Oh.....forgot to mention that scanning is just for $4.

Wow that is cheap. Can check with you how many dpi did they scan with? Previously tried Color Lab and they scanned for me at 72dpi and charge me $6 somemore.

hm....my files is scan by 72dpi at 3360 x 2240

thats becos it is set at auto default.

colorlab scan at 4base (18xx x 12xx) or 16base (33xx x 22xx).

I don't understand about the 72dpi part :dunno: as I look at the overall pixels they can scan.

if u resize it to 300ppi, it should give u roughly a 8X12 print. how much they charge again for 16 base?

$4 just for scanning. $8 for processing and scanning.

Hi all,

Spoken with Owen last nite. And these are the prices that he charging.


135 Film- $8 for Processing and Scanning, $4 for scanning
120 Film- $9 for Processing and Scanning, $6 for scanning

All price is include CD and Index print.

The 16 base is the highest res in the Auto setting. So all the scanning will base on 16 base.

Owen told me if anyone of u need a bigger file, it can be done but it only for selected photos. Cos he told me it take a longer time to do the super hi0res scanning. As for price and dimension i didt get from him yet as i was in a rush last nite.

Dats really cheap! I got like 108 7yr old negs (36x3 rolls) waiting to be converted to CD. Cos my scanner's consumer grade, I got a really big problem with da photos.
