Hi,

Planning to to to Bangkok this coming hari raya holiday and I'm thinking of getting a backpack with a strap to hold my Slik U9000 tripod. Yes, I do have the slik bag but I find it cumbersome to carry both the tripod bag and my LowePro DRes 40AW bag. Any suggestion of a good backpack where I can put both together and still some room for any personal stuff when I go out for outing within the city?

Thanks!

Go to lowepro website to check it out.. no much model to choose anyway..
But you still need to see if CP or other place have stock... It may be better to make a trip down to see personally

and remember to bring ALL your gear to try out first....

Looks good. Any idea how much? Not optimistic that CP will have it though as they are always out of stock. Are those small compartments removable?

yah, CP is always outta stock cos it's a very popular model. but which small compartments are you referring to? the inside inserts can be taken out or re-arranged if that's what you mean...

Yeah, that's what I mean... Thanks... Any other brands, I still seem to like LowePro most though....:(

Just came back from CP. They have 2 units of black Mini Trekker available. Selling at $123. I didn't get it. Instead, I got myself the Street and Field Rover Light for $131. Reason is because I find Mini Trekker's camera compartment is an overkill for me. I don't need a whole bag for camera stuff as i have only G2 with a 420 flash. I like the one I bought because it has a separate compartment to store the camera and there's another separate compartment for other personal stuff. Of course, it has a tripod holder, which was what i was looking for...

Any bag can take 2 bodys?

Or, more accurately, 1 body + 2 lens + filters + small body (my digicam :D) + flash + batteries?

Side note: Sounds heavy. :o

with tripod holder as well? then again, only Mini Trekker. but if not, then try the Micro Trekker 100 or 200.

but the best way to gauge is still to bring all your gear down to CP and try...

The S&F Rover Light I bought also have the same tripod holder like the Mini Trekker. Micro Trekker looks nice but I find it a bit too feminine.
