Which is better? I have a mix of B&W and color photos...

i got up to 10am to decide...

How would matte look on color photos?? I am gonna use the Fujifilm EPIC...

EPIC users pls comment...thks!

personally i don't think it matters whether it's from digital or neg/slides. glossy always brings out the colour more. the only reason why some people prefer matte is cos it's more fingerprint-resistant, although i don't see the problem with this if you take care to handle it only when the prints are dry.

Personally prefer glossy if it's from the labs, but of late, I am beginning to like the feel of Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl inkjet paper (matt).

I printed slide scans myself on Epson Stylus Photo 890, on Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl, and the results are stunning. Even people at Colour Lab find it impressive. :)

You must be talking about digital printing technology like those used in the Fuji Frontier 350/370 digital minilabs. Those scan the film, then use lasers to expose the photographic paper. Whether it's LED laser or the normal one, I am not sure.

When i come back from Australia, must go Ruby and pick up a pack of the smooth pearl and try...i looked at CKiang's pics already...the color saturation is excellent!

BTW, i got the 4R prints back from ColorLab and they were fantastic!!

I saved the JPEGs in sRGB space, and the colors came out bit for bit...the black and whites were the most impressive...can't really tell the diff b/w digi and film...but then again, i have not shot B&W film before so dun take it as the truth...

Next time i will give one disc for printing glossy prints and another for matt prints...i would think that landscape shots would look much better in glossy...higher color contrast and saturation??

glossy give a stunning and striking look and after more then 3 4 year in an ablum it will stick to the folder due to the temp.

matt doesnt give u any stunning looking but can get very very long lasting, 10 year 20 year the the most its yellowish but wont stick to each other :)
