Gitzo Tripod

All,
I have a Aluminium Gitzo Tripod whereby the screw for tightening the center column broke off and the remaining of the screw bit is still struck inside. When I called the distributer Shriro Singapore Pte Ltd at 11 Chang Charn Road, they told me that I need 70 dollars to replace the whole portion of the center column. Cannot believe that Gitzo tripod is so jia liat. I used it for less than 5 times and bought just last year !!!

Have anyone came across such incident before?

complain straight to gitzo..i got a cracked rubber grip over at the release of legs...they fed-ex the rubber to me...mine was quite new back then..now all the rubbers has came off..hehehee
