Just want to Check if anyone want to join for MO of Gitzo G1228, But not sure what is the price now, also give me some adv how much is the price for MO will be worthit.
perhaps people in consolidation phase now after spending their year-end bonuses? ;p probably in a little while, the D70 users will start looking for tripods....
For a tripod, its a little pricy (~$600 or $700?). No doubt its CF and pretty lightweight, but I don't think many people would be willing to fork out such a sum just for the legs alone after dumping considerable amounts of their savings on the DSLR body + lens already. $600-$700 alone can get u a pretty good new lens already (for e.g the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8). And there's still the price of the head to be factored in too.
If u were to do a MO for say, a Manfrotto 190ProB (~$150) or 055Pro (~$200) I'm pretty sure more people would be interested.
