Getting Dimage 7Hi

Can bet i'm very excited getting my first digital camera. Currently trying to get quotes for best deals.

Any guideline or care note for getting Dimage 7Hi ?

Hey, thanks ... Wonder how much you guys spend ... TKPhoto quoting $1850 with 128MB ... While, Parisilk quoting $1751 with basic 64MB. All after GST.

Or shall i wait for Alan Photo and Cathay Photo's e-quote? 2 days already they haven't reply.

Oh ... Initially i wanted to get F717 for easier learning curve but in the end decided 7Hi for the benefit of third party accessories (cheaper) and storage capabilities. F717 has a plastic print too. 7Hi has many useful features too.

No, I was asking for CP5700 for my friend... but no stock... SuperPet is selling at 15xx but also no stock.... No idea when is the stock coming... nikon so jialat... Money fall into their lap also don't know how to grab.

Sure, no probs. Feel free to share the quotations u get. I paid $1850 for mine at TKFoto about a month ago, with a 64mb card, so u're getting a deal here! If u dont mind paying a bit more for personal attention and service...But do call them ahead in case they don't have stocks. Also check their opening hours. They don't open on Sundays.
U may also want to call John 3:16 at Funan Centre.

Which one do you mean as good deal? TK or Parisilk? I always thought Cathay or 3:16 provides the best service?

of course Parisilk! the $100 difference can get you another 128MB CF card with some change left for one set of 4 AA Sanyo 1850mAH rechargeable batteries (at Mustafa).

CF 128MB less than $100? I thought it's around $160? Is that version I or II? Any difference?

they differ in terms of interface, not much diff in terms of performance. e.g. IBM Microdrive uses CF Type II interface. Most CF are type I.

you could choose to pay $160 for one at the major electrical stores but camera shops, e.g. Alan Photo and computer shops sell them for <$100. Get a fast one e.g. RiData 16x 128MB and not the slow Sandisk ones.

I'll like to carry one that can fit in the camera of course, CFs, couple of batteries and a small tripod.

Will staying in hotel for at least 2 weeks moist the lenses?
